Yoga Styles Taught
Astanga Vinyasa Yoga:
It is the primary form of yoga taught at our studio. This powerful, dynamic series of yoga asanas builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus. It begins with a deep breathing technique (ujjayi pranayama) and inner core strength (bandhas) that lead you gracefully from one pose to the next in a continuous flow, purifying the body of toxins and linking the body and mind into meditative awareness.
Traditional asana (postures) are held in accurate alignment. Emphasis is placed on core strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and breath control. This style of yoga is based on physical postures, deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body. This class is good for beginners and those wishing to perfect their asanas.
Other Classes offered:
Cultivate mindfulness, wisdom, love, devotion and ecstasy by singing ancient Sanskrit mantras and songs, practicing meditation and discussing the sacred teachings of the Vedas.
Philosophy of Yoga:
Understand why mystics of India have been practicing yoga since time immemorial. This class gives insight into the subtle effects of the asanas and helps to elevate the body, mind and soul off the yoga matt.

This unique course is taught in a practical and fun way. Each student uses their own personal natal chart as the basis for learning the science of Vedic Astrology and will, at the same time, gain a deeper understanding of their own self. Subjects include: Important aspects of Vedic Astrology , how to interpret a natal chart , qualities of the twelve houses and twelve signs, energy of each planet, solar sign, lunar sign, ascendant and more.
